Tempe Town Lake Downstream Dam Replacement

As one of the largest hydraulically controlled steel-gate dams of its kind, the Tempe Town Lake Downstream Dam is a shining example of innovative design and construction. The dam has eight hydraulically operated steel gates, each 106 feet long, 17 feet tall, and approximately 300,000 pounds, and it includes a one-of-a-kind dogging system for maintenance and repair of the dam's hydraulic cylinders while maintaining the lake.

“Thank You” Gannett Fleming for ensuring the preservation of Tempe Town Lake, a treasured recreational facility and community gathering place!
