Paseo de las Iglesias: Santa Cruz River Bank Protection, Ecosystem Restoration, and Linear Parkway from Ajo to Silverlake Road
The project is a complex 1.5 mile, 400-acre site along the Santa Cruz River which provides river park amenities, erosion protection and ecosystem restoration. A primary focus of the ecosystem restoration work was improvements to Mesquite Circle Pond which is home to nine unique and special interest native species and one of the jewels of the urban Tucson herpetological community.
“Thank You” Psomas for helping to confirm the river park meets the requirements for future certification by the National Park Service as part of the Juan Bautista de Anza National Historic Trail.
