The design preserves the natural washes and embraces the site topography by terracing the parking areas along the existing land contours nestling them into the site with minimal earth disturbance.

The design optimized the roadway profile enabling a new bridge and roadway to be constructed utilizing FHWA's Accelerated Bridge Construction method in a record 87 hours, thus minimizing lengthy detours.
