The American Council of Engineering Companies of Arizona (ACEC of Arizona) is devoted exclusively to the business interests of engineers and land surveyors in private practice. ACEC of Arizona is a dynamic business association with member firms employing over 5,500 employees in the independent private practice of consulting engineering and/or land surveying in Arizona. ACEC of Arizona member firms also include sustaining members which support the consulting engineering/land surveying firms, such as, contractors, material suppliers, legal counsel, insurance, right-of-way, environmental, and more! ACEC of Arizona is a founding member of the national ACEC organization, headquartered in Washington, D.C., which currently supports 5,200 member firms employing approximately 150,000 employees. It is the goal of ACEC of Arizona to ensure every member experiences his or her membership to its fullest potential. Executive Director, Janice Burnett
Janice Burnett has shared the triumphs and challenges of navigating a multifaceted association of diversified private practice engineering firms since 1977. She is a past president of the Arizona Society of Association Executives, past president of the National Association of Engineering Council Executives, past president of the State Societies Executive Council, past president of the University Club (Phoenix), and past Chairman of the Board for the Valley of the Sun YMCA. In 2012 Janice was recognized as the Leader of the Year in Public Policy for Transportation by the Arizona Capitol Times. In her spare time, Janice is an avid world traveler stepping foot on all seven continents and over 70 countries. Animal wildlife photography is her passion.
